GREEN, OHIO - Walter Daniels, 94, passed away on August 31, 2020 at his son's home with family by his side.
Walter was born August 10, 1926 in Scranton, PA to Simeon and Helen Daniels. He was a Pathologist at Mayview State Hospital, retiring in 1993. He was a member of Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church in Carnegie, PA and Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Green, Ohio.
Walter was the Choir Director at Holy Trinity for 50 years, where he also served as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.
Walter was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Arlene (Bogdon) in 2015 and his brothers Rev. Msgr. Russell Danylchuck and Dennis (Jean) Daniels. He is survived by his children Leanne Hartman and her children Andrea and Alisa, Garrett (Debbie) Daniels and their children Christopher and Heather and Mark Daniels and his daughter Ashley.
Walter was a loving father and grandfather and he devoted his life to his church, his family and to prayer.
Funeral servies will be held Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, 730 Washington Avenue, Carnegie, PA 15106 where the family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Rev. Fr. Jason Charron officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Trinity Church. May his memory be eternal.
