Virginia Drown

Virginia Drown, 86, passed away peacefully on February 2, at the Ridgewood Health Care Center.
Born in Akron on January 13, 1927 to the late Mirko & Josephine Bozic, Virginia had been a lifetime area resident. She was a graduate of North High School. Early in her life, while raising a family, Virginia worked as a cashier at Montgomery Ward.
In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Raymond. She is survived by her sons William of Akron, Richard (Mary) of Hudson, and Jim of Cuyahoga Falls. Family was the biggest part of Virginia's life, and at the center was the love she had for her grandchildren: Kristin (Todd) Castilow & Brandie Drown and Laura & Amy Drown; great-grandchildren Carissa, & Breanna. She also leaves behind many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday at 2:00 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home MCGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL 247 Stow Ave (at Third St., one block north of Portage Trail) in Cuyahoga Falls, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. A private interment will take place at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
