Vernon W. Walker

Vernon W. Walker, 92, passed away on July 24, at the Emeritus of Stow.
Born in Cuyahoga Falls on September 1, 1921 to the late William and Catherine Walker, Vern was a lifetime Falls resident and a graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School. He served his country honorably as a member of the Army Air Corps during WWII. Vernon worked for many years as an inspector for the City of Cuyahoga Falls and was the owner of the Falls Block & Supply Co. He was an avid fisherman and Cessna pilot.
Vernon is survived by his children Patrick (Louise) Walker of Rochester, NY and Nan Moore of Kent, OH; grandchildren Christopher, Jordan, Sam, & Alexandra, as well as 4 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 2-4 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home MCGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL 247 Stow Ave. ( at 3rd. St., one block north of Portage Trail) in Cuyahoga Falls. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank 350 Opportunity Parkway Akron, OH 44307-2234 or to the Harbor Light Hospice 25 S Main St, Munroe Falls, OH 44262.

Visitation
