STOW - Thomas Frank Shuber, 84, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022.
He was born in Akron and was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Cuyahoga Falls. Mr. Shuber was a Management Trainer for Goodyear, retiring after 25 years, then finished his career at Figgie International. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving in the Vietnam era, and a past Commandant of the Chesty Puller detachment of the Marine Corps League 269. He was also a member of the Honor Guard of the American Legion Charles Faust Post 281 for many years. He was an avid golfer, a sharp-shooter on the pool table, and a lifelong Ohio State Buckeye football fan.
He was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Mary (nee Bukovsky) Shuber; daughter, Mary Parker; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed and Charlotte, Bob and Peggy, and Terry Shuber; sister and brother-in-law, Gerry and David Hiss; and sister-in-law, Sister Jean Mack. He is survived by his wife of nearly 64 years, Geraldine "Gerry" (nee Mack) Shuber; son, Tim (Cheryl) Shuber; daughter, Ann (Mike) Ballard; son-in-law, Joe Parker; sister-in-law, Lucille Mack; grandchildren, Ben, Rosemary (T.K.), Katie (Josh), Heidi (Ryan), Aaron, Alex, Jake, Abby (Ricky) and Haley (Brandon); great-grandchild, Hannah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 14, 2022 at 12 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Cuyahoga Falls where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
