Thomas Paul Richards

Thomas Paul Richards, 75, passed away surrounded by his loving family on December 19, 2021. By his side were his wife Sandra, nieces Julie Mazon and Maria Isom, and brothers Bernie and Bill.
Tom was born in Akron on February 1, 1946 to the late Elmer & Kathryn Richards and was a 1964 graduate of Archbishop Hoban High School. He worked in the Goodyear Data Center for over 30 years first as a computer operator then as a computer operations analyst. Tom was an avid golfer and especially enjoyed Firestone Public Course. He also enjoyed a maple creamstick every now and again, and a family function was not complete without James Brown playing through the speakers.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his nephew Jeffrey Richards. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Sandra (aka Pumkin); daughter Kathy (Bob) Shope; brothers Bernard, Dave (Karen), & Bill (Anne) Richards, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Many friends and family will always remember Tom as a kind, great man with a sense of humor that will truly be missed.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 22, from 5-7 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A funeral service will take place on Thursday,December 23, at 12 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. "MISS YOU ALREADY." (Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, AKRON)
