Theresia Kozak, 89 passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018. She was born in Austria and came to the United States from England in 1956 with her husband and daughter on the Queen Mary. She was a member of Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church and retired from Akron Redevelopment after 25 years of service. Theresia enjoyed the love of her grandchildren, playing bingo and slot machines, doing puzzles, and going on trips to Arizona and Las Vegas. She always had a smile on her face. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, (Danylo); two sisters; and two brothers. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Irena and Bob Dyer of Gilbert, AZ.; sons and daughters-in-law, Peter and Teresa Kozak of Norton, OH. and Daniel and Pamela Kozak of Naperville, IL.; brother, Josef; grandchildren, Erica Dyer, Alexander & Andrew Kozak, Kelly & William Allen; and great-grandchild, Tristan. The family will receive friends Friday, 5 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301. Funeral Service Prayers will be held Saturday, 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by Funeral Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. at Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1866 Brown St. Akron, Ohio. Fr. Vsevolod Shevchuk officiating. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
