Theresia Guld

GREEN - Theresia Guld, 90 years old, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 22, 2017. She is now reunited with her husband Joseph, who passed away in 1992.

Theresia, her husband, and 2 out of her 3 children immigrated to the United States in August of 1951 to give her family a better life. She worked extremely hard all her life. Theresia was born on October 4, 1927 in Vodjinci, Yugoslavia. Before retiring, Theresia and her husband Joe owned and operated Guld's Cottages in Lakeside, Marblehead, Ohio. Theresia loved to work outside in her flower gardens and received many awards from the City of Green Beautification Committee. She loved to bake strudel, salz kipfel, and many other German favorites. She belonged to the German Family Society in Brimfield Township where she spent many hours cooking and enjoying time with her friends.
Theresia leaves behind 3 children, who will miss her immensely: Frank (Martha) Guld, Helga (Gregg) Hippich, and Theresa (Frank) Bohnert. Theresia had 8 grandchildren: Lisa (Kevin) Haught, Robert (Angie) Guld, Bryan (Lori) Hippich, Michael(Jenni) Guld, Kristen (Josh) Egidi, Matthew Bohnert, Tony (Kristin) Guld, Nicholas (Jodi) Bohnert. She leaves behind 15 great-grandchildren: Jessica, Cameron, Tanner, Samantha, Noah, Alayna, Jacob, Claire, Abby, Emily, Katelyn, Alex, Kylee, Madalyn, and Gianna.
Calling hours will be Thursday, October 26 from 4:00-8:00PM at the Anthony Funeral Home, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St in Akron. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30AM Friday at Queen of Heaven, 1800 Steese Road in Green, followed by internment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Justin T.
