Theresa Marie (Lavery) Naska

Theresa Marie Naska, 71, passed away peacefully, in her daughter's arms, on April 15, 2025.
Theresa was born on October 8, 1953 in Akron to the late James & Delores Lavery, and was a 1971 graduate of Kenmore High School. She was a resident of Cuyahoga Falls for over 40 years. Theresa married the love of her life, John Naska in 1985 and together they raised their 'miracle', Caitlin. Theresa worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber for over 30 years and retired from the University of Akron after 17 years. Theresa had a fun-loving and goofy personality. She loved kids and animals and was always a fearless and willing adventurer. Theresa always was smiling and laughing and was generally a 'beautiful soul'. She loved the sunshine and will always be the 'sunshine' in her families life.
In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by her husband John in 2019; brothers Kevin, Thomas, & Vincent, and niece Stephanie Dsilva. She is survived by her beloved daughter Caitlin Naska; sisters Patty Huwig & Wanda Burns; brother Michael (Betty) Lavery, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 21, from 5-7 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home - Falls Chapel, 247 Stow Ave. (one block north of Portage Trail in) Cuyahoga Falls, where a funeral will take on Tueday, April 22, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
