Theresa Marie (Gross) Kester

Theresa (Gross) Kester, 65, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021.
Theresa was born March 15, 1956 to Don and Dorothy (Gresock) Gross in Akron and had been an area resident her entire life. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Education in 2000 from Akron University and a Master's Degree from Walden University in 2007. She was proud to be a teacher for Copley Fairlawn Schools at Arrowhead elementary for 17 years retiring in 2017.
Theresa loved to cook, taking cooking classes, owning every kitchen gadget and just about every cookbook. She enjoyed the great restaurants in San Francisco and Napa Valley and gardening in her backyard sanctuary. However, the ultimate joy in her life was her grandsons, Matthew, Landon and Ethan, her 'Grandbuddies'.
Theresa is survived by her husband of 45 years, Paul; children - Anthony Kester and Jennifer (Michael) Dee; grandsons Matthew, Landon and Ethan Dee; siblings Stephen, Vincent, Patrick, Michael (Vicky), Barbara (Craig), Cecilia and Suzanne; sister-in-law Alice (Terry); brother-in-law Timothy (Cindy); many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
The family will receive friends Friday, December 17, 2021 from 5 to 8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St,. Akron where a celebration of Theresa's life will take place on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 11:00 am. Internment Holy Cross Cemetery. Masks are strongly recommended but not required. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Down Syndrome Association of Northeast Ohio.
