Theodore Gretz Marten, 66, of Stow passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family on October 14, 2022.

Theodore was born June 14, son of Milton Lewis Marten and Dorothy (Gretz) Marten of Euclid, Ohio. He graduated from Euclid High School and went on to earn his Bachelors Degree from Hiram College. His career was primarily spent working for the City of Twinsburg as the Coordinator of Wastewater Treatment. Theodore married Kathleen Emma Noland on May 21st, 1988 and they have two beautiful daughters, Jennifer and Maggie. Theodore enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, baseball, birdwatching and hiking with his dog Matilda Marie. He was a member of the Audubon Society, the Nature Conservancy, Public Radio and TV, and the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC).

Theodore is survived by his wife Kathleen; daughters, Jennifer (Marc) and Maggie (Michael); sisters, Beth Podojil, Kathryn (Joe) Campagna; brothers, William (Sandy) Marten, and Larry Marten; and brother-in-law, Jack Herbert. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Constance Herbert.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Sunday Nov. 13, 2022 1:00pm - 5:00pm at Mingo Lodge, Sand Run Park, Akron, Ohio.
