Theodore Kost

Theodore Kost, 91, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013.
He was born in Busowisko, Ukraine and came to the United States and Atwater in 1949. Mr. Kost was the owner- operator of Atwater Nursery for 36 years until his retirement. He was a member of Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church. Mr. Kost was also an established musician and artist.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary; and grandson, Alexander. He is survived by his second wife, Yustyna; sons, Theodore T. (Lois) and Timothy M. (Liesa) Kost; sister, Katherine Popadiuk of Canada; grandchildren, Melissa, Jaclyn, Danielle and Timothy, Jr.; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, 9:30 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron and at 10 a.m. at Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church. Fr. Vsevolod Shevchuk officiating. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home where a Parastas service will be held at 7:30 p.m. (Anthony, Akron, 330-724-1281, www.anthonyfh.com)
