Theodora Mary Kobbs

Born to a missionary priest and his wife, Fr. Theodore and Mary (Honchock) Kondratick in Saskatchewan, Canada. She was the oldest of 4 children and went on to become a priest's wife when she married Rev. Fr. Nicholas Kobbs in 1942. They had many church parishes including, Masontown, PA; Wilkes Barre, PA; McKeesport, PA; Weirton, WV; Morgantown, WV; Akron, OH; and Sioux City, IA. They had 3 children. She was the loving mother of sons, Larry (wife, Anita, deceased), Akron; Nicholas (Kathy), Connecticut and daughter, Nikandra Rafferty, Akron. She was the oldest sister of Lawrence (deceased), Larissa (deceased), and Vera Kondratick of Syracuse, NY. She was the devoted grandmother of Bill (Emily) Kobbs, Canton, OH; Tanya (Mike) Grato, AZ; Tamara Hoisington (deceased), Larry Nicholas Kobbs (deceased), Lee Rafferty (deceased); Alex and Thomas Kobbs, Connecticut; and Lisa Kobbs, Akron.
She was the loving great grandmother of Sean Kiel, AZ; Sarah Hoisington, Akron; Stephanie Hoisington, FL; Katherine and Gabrielle Kobbs, Akron; Michael Kobbs, N. Canton; and Alexander Salazar, Akron. She also has two great great grandchildren, Aleah and Jaclynn. Her love for children and singing showed when she taught Sunday School and sang in the church choir. She would even sing daily while at home. She has seen many technology changes in her 103 years. She will be greatly missed. Memory Eternal.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Eastern Orthodox Church, 555 S. Cleveland-Massillon Rd. Fairlawn, Ohio 44333 where Matushka will lie in state one hour prior to service. Fr. Vladimir Bakurdzhiev officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. The family will receive friends Monday, 5 to 7 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301 where a Memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Donations may be made to St. Thomas Eastern Orthodox Church. (Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, Akron)
