Teddy Eagon-Reese, 62, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014 in Barberton.
Teddy was born on April 29, 1951 to the late Richard and June Eagon, in Akron. Teddy was a 1969 graduate of Kenmore High School, and also graduated from the University of Akron. Teddy worked briefly as a teacher, before becoming the owner and president of Johns-Eagon Company for 35 years. She was a member of LifeSpring Christian Church and the East Akron Oriels. Teddy was a vibrant woman, who was extremely generous with her time and resources. She was a friend to everyone and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, Teddy was preceded in death by her brothers Richard and Jeff Eagon; brother-in-law Elden Reese and sister-in-law Linda Eagon. She is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Paul Reese; step-daughter Ruth (Earl) Sell; sisters-in-law Beth Eagon & Caroline Reese; nephew Jeff (Marie) Eagon, nieces Nicole (Mark) Eagon and Amy (Jeff) Belles; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
The family is grateful to Diane Schmidt, who cared for Teddy and her mother for years; her kindness and friendship made her a true blessing in our lives.
The family will receive family and friends TOMORROW from 4-8PM at the Anthony Funeral Homes, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11AM, with visiting for one hour prior. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
