Suzanne Theresa (Seigman) Sharnsky

Suzanne Theresa (Seigman) Sharnsky, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on December 10 2024, after a courageous fight with cancer.
Sue was born on May 11, 1948 to the late George & Mabel Sigman, was one of 11 children, and lived in Cuyahoga Falls for most of her life. She was a 1963 graduate of St. Joseph Grade School and a 1967 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School.
Sue worked various jobs thoughout her career, including the St. Thomas Hospital business office, Akron Children's Hospital Emergency Dept., and most recently in the business office at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, serving for over 30 years as the Financial Secretary for Rev's. John Rathfon (deceased), Thomas McCann, and most recently James Singler, all of whom she loved dearly. Suzanne loved her work at IHM and after retiring in 2015, continued to help out at the parish until her death.
Suzanne had a passion for music and was a member of the IHM choir for over 30 years. She had many favorite songs, but particularly loved the song, 'Climb every Mountain' from the Sound of Music and 'Somewhere in Time' from the movie Somewhere in Time. She loved decorating, painting pictures, cooking, and going out to breakfast or dinner at her favorite restaurants with her husband, sisters, and friends. She also enjoyed traveling to Florida and Chicago to visit family and friends.
Suzanne had a beautifully strong faith which sustained her during the difficult times in her life, especially when she was a single mother raising two children, before God stepped in and she met her husband John, whom she had known since they children. She and John were married on December 27, 1985 at a beautiful evening candle light service at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
In addition to her parents, Suzanne was preceded in death by her sister Linda Seigman. She is survived by her husband and best friend of 38 years John; her children Colleen (Todd) Frye & Paul (Megan) McIntyre; her grandchildren, whom she adored, Olivia, Andrew, & Charlotte Mcintyre; her beloved sisters Donna (Stan) Root, Mary (Bill) Andrea, Shari (Bruce) Gillig, Georgeanne (Mike) Vendlinski, Bonnie (Ralph) Gatti, Jane (Ron) Canary, Jean (Mike) Rhodes, & Dolly (Roger) Minns; beloved brother James (Mary Jo) Seigman; brothers-in-law Mark & Paul (Tracy) Sharnsky and sisters-in-law Mary Ellen Cyrjak and Jean (Bruce) Biggins. She will be sadly missed by dear friend Kathy Morgan, as well as many nieces, nephews, & friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 13, 11:30 am, with friends being from 9:30 am until 11:15 am, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church 1905 Portage Trail Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223. Interment will follow at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in Sue's memory to IHM Church.
