Susan M. Mccall

-NORTON Susan M. McCall (Goehler) lost the battle she fought for so long with multiple health problems on February 26, 2017. Born in Akron in 1949, she graduated from St. Vincent High School in 1967 and prior to her retirement on disability, was secretary to the mayor of Norton Tim Crawford and then secretary in the Finance Department. She was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church. Led by the strength of her faith, Sue was always upbeat, forward looking, and positive thinking; an inspiration to all who knew her as she never allowed her myriad of medical issues to dampen her spirit. Preceded in death by parents Robert and Elizabeth Goehler and brothers Richard and Michael. She is survived by brothers Robert (Sandra), Joseph (Connie), and David (Dede), sisters-in-law Wendy and LaDonna, furry pals Spackle and Sweet Pea and a host of cousins, nieces & nephews and friends. Special thanks go to devoted caregiver and friend Joyce Deems and to the ICU and Palliative Care Staff at City Hospital. The family will receive friends on Friday, 5-7 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. James Maloney on Saturday, 11:00 am, at St Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church 4022 Johnson Rd. Norton, OH 44203.
