Susan Marie Heltsley

Susan Heltsley went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 6, 2026.

Born August 12, 1950 to the late Paul and Elizabeth Kane, Susan was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Garfield High School in 1968, and then from Stark State in 1994. Susan retired from Manor Care Akron as a physical therapy assistant in 2016. She was a member of The Chapel in Akron, where she served in quilt and card ministries. She will be remembered as a woman of unwavering faith in Jesus, no matter what she went through.

In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her brother Tom Kane , Jack (Pearl) Kane, and sister Carol Clements. She is survived by her daughters, Erin (Martin) Owen and Kristen (Jonathan) Miller; grandchildren Payton, Kylee, Spencer, Andrew, and Aaron; great-granddaughter Rynlee; sisters Judi Kane and Kathy Kane; brother Tim (Kathy) Kane; sister-in-law Barb Kane; and brother-in-law Larry Clements.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 16 from 4-6PM at the Anthony Funeral Homes, Akron Chapel, 1990 S Main St in Akron where a Celebration of Life will be held at 6PM.
