Stefanie Shatrich, March 27, 1961 - September 19, 2026

Stefanie Shatrich, 65, passed into eternal life on September 19, 2026.

Born March 27, 1961, to Dan and Harriet Shatrich, Stefanie lived a life of faith, service, humor, and devotion to others.

A faithful servant of the Serbian Orthodox faith, Stefanie was a member of St. Nikolai Orthodox Church, St. Demetrius Serbian choir, and S.O.C.A. Blessed with a beautiful soprano voice, she shared her gift through years of worship and song.

For more than 40 years, Stefanie served the University of Akron as an Administrative Assistant, supporting departments, deans, professors, colleagues, and students. She will be remembered for her loyalty, dedication, and sense of humor.

Stefanie is survived by her brother, Steven Shatrich; sister-in-law, Jodi; nieces Danielle, Maria, and Jenna Shatrich; nephew Nicholas Shatrich; great nephew Lennox; and loving cousins, family and friends near and far. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Harriet Shatrich.

Stefanie was surrounded by the prayers and support of dear friends in St. Louis, University of Akron colleagues, Manchester High Class of 1979 classmates, and Father Stephen who remained close throughout her journey.

Stefanie touched countless lives, perhaps without ever realizing how much she meant to others. Her voice, laughter, and spirit will remain with those who knew and loved her.

May her memory be eternal.

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Road (corner of Massillon and Steese Roads, entrance off Steese), and a funeral service begins at 1:00 PM. Private interment will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Nikolai Orthodox Church, 9837 W. State St., Louisville OH 44641.
