Stacie Lynn Friend

Stacie Lynn Friend, 55, passed away September 4, 2024.
Stacie was born April 9, 1969 in Akron. She graduated from Green High School and earned an Associate's Degree in Hotel Management from Hocking College. Stacie was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the Red Hat Society. She was a dog lover and volunteered with Shih Tzu foster organizations. Stacie spent some of her adult life in Arizona, but later returned to Ohio to take care of her mother and step-father. She received a double lung transplant in 2017.
Stacie is preceded in death by her mother Martha Friend Griebling and her step-father John "Jack" Griebling. She is survived by her father Trees S. Friend of Cave Creek, Arizona, as well as her extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 14 at 5:00 PM at Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. Friends and family will be received for one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association or to any charity that benefits dogs.
