Sophie A. Boatwright, 78, passed away at her home on Friday, March 28, 2014.
She was born in Akron and was a 1954 graduate of Garfield High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Jesse (Sikora) Pulaski. Sophie is survived by her husband of 59 years, Fleming; daughters, Deborah Boatwright-Mullins and Denise (Jerry) Gillespie; grandchildren, Eric Elavsky, Christina (Keith) Clackler and Alan Simmons; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Special thanks to Melissa for her care and to the Visiting Nurse Service and Hospice Care Center.
Cremation has taken place. There are no services or calling hours. Donations may be made in her memory to the Visiting Nurse Service Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd. Akron, OH 44333. (Anthony, Akron, 330-724-1281, www.anthonyfh.com)
