Sherrie Joyce (Foland) Chronister

Sherrie J. Chronister (Foland), 93, went home to be with the Lord on May 17, 2022. Sherrie was born in Akron on February 6, 1929 to the late Hugh & Lorene Foland and was a 1947 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School. She lived in Cuyahoga Falls and Stow, except for an 18 year period in Gainesville, Florida. She retired from Zales Jewelry in the 1980's. Sherrie was a woman of deep faith and had a loving relationship with God. Sherrie was an excellent cook and the best pie maker.
In addition to her parents, Sherrie was preceded in death by her husband William C. Chronister; brothers Dale & Virgil Foland and grandson Todd Sparks. She is survived by her daughters Brenda (Les) Koth, Myra (Steve) Dougherty, & Susan (Jim) Howiler; grandchildren Heather (Dana), Tim (Sara), Brian (Katie), Patrick (Cami), Daniel, and Sean (Bri), along with 13 great-grandchildren & 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters Wilma Foland & Freda (Ray) Carlsen, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 22, from 1-3 pm, followed immediately by a Celebration of Sherrie's Life at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel 247 Stow Ave. (at Third St., one block north of Portage Trail in) Cuyahoga Falls. A private interment will take place next to her beloved husband at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. (Anthony Funeral Homes, FALLS, 330.928.1313)
