Sebastiano (Tony) Tilenni

Sebastiano (Tony) Tilenni, 92, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018 at his home.
Tony was born June 21, 1926 to Carl and Bessie (Colavito) Tilenni in Akron and had been an Akron resident his entire life.  He was employed by Akron Selle Co. for 47 years, retiring in 1992.  He also worked many years for Varca Hardware.  He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Catholic Order of Foresters and Knights of Columbus Council 3410.
Tony was preceded in death by his son Carl, granddaughter Tiffany Tilenni and sister Carmella Saltsman.  He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Eva (Varca); children April Marino, Frank (Chris) Tilenni and Anthony (Linda) Tilenni; daughter-in-law Gloria Tilenni; 11 grandchildren Anthony (Savannah) Tilenni II, Michael (Shanel) Tilenni, Louise (Sumin) Chacko, Vincent (Megan), Jared (Shannon) and Steven Tilenni, Anthony (Stacy), Adam (Katie) and Mark (Rachel) Marino and Ashley (Zach) Quick; 16 great grandchildren Hunter, Wyatt, Jaymes, Tyler, Allie, Alex, Zaida, Micah, Tula, Vincent, Isabella, Lucius, Levi, Adriana, Rocco and Amelia.
The family will receive friends Sunday 3 to 6 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron OH 44301, where a K of C Rosary will be recited at 5:30pm.  Funeral services will begin Monday at 9:30 am at the funeral home and will continue with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Paul Catholic Church 1580 Brown St. Akron OH 44301.  Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church or the Tiffany Tilenni Memorial Scholarship (PNC Bank).
