Sandra Kaye (Dickerson) Fisher

Sandra Kaye Dickerson Fisher (64) went home to be with the Lord on April 6, 2021.
She was born in Akron, OH on August 14, 1956. She married the love of her life Gerald Fisher on December 13, 1974. Sandy began her waitress career at Canterburys and worked for many years at the Waterloo restaurant. She was a phenomenal cook and singer and enjoyed scratch offs and bingo. She was quick witted and had an ornery sense of humor. Her greatest accomplishment by far was being a mother to her two children Gerald and Shawna. She was a protector and Mama Bear to her 6 grandchildren and many other neighborhood kids. She was
stubborn and had a lot of fight in her as witnessed by watching her battle and beat both lung and brain cancer but ultimately succumbed to aspiration pneumonia.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years Gerald A. Fisher, sister Charlene (Raymond) Harris, son Gerald Fisher II, daughter Shawna (Tony) Arthur and nephew Franklin Roberts. She was a loving grandma to Kayla, Gerald III & Brandon Fisher (Mother Jennifer Palmieri) & Elijah Fisher (Mother Khrystal Khoury) and Sierra & Tony Arthur Jr. She leaves behind many other family and friends who will miss her dearly. She is preceded in death by parents Paul R. Dickerson and Mae Marie Dickerson, brothers Carl & Russell Dickerson, sister Paula Preston, siblings by marriage and heart Gina Blevins and David Fisher.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 11 from 2-4 PM and Monday April 12, from 10-11 AM at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where a funeral service will follow at 11 AM. Pastor Fred Webb officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. (Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, AKRON)
