Sallie Mae Adams

Sallie Mae (Lynch) Adams passed away on January 27, 2024. She was born September 19, 1930 to Leo and Dorothy Lynch. She was a beloved wife to her husband, Joseph Adams, who passed in 2012.
She is survived by her sons James Adams (Sandy Fitzgerald) of Akron and Garry Adams of Doylestown; grandson Dirk Adams; sisters Patricia Butcher of Ohio and Mary Thoren of Florida; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Sallie is preceded in death by her brothers Robert, Donald, Paul and Bernie Lynch.
Thank you to the Pleasant View Skilled Nursing Facility staff for all the wonderful care given to Sallie, and a special thank you to Elara Caring Hospice for all the love and comfort you gave to Sallie. Vicki and Tresa, we really appreciated all you did for Sallie while she was under your care.
We will all miss Sallie- and certainly miss her famous peanut brittle.
Calling hours will be held at Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel at 1990 S. Main St. in Akron on Friday, February 2 from 11AM-12:30PM. Sallie will be laid to rest next to her husband Joseph at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
