Ruth Lillian Parsons

Ruth Parsons, 79, went home to be with the Lord on January 24, 2016.
Born in Middletown, NY on November 13, 1936 to the late Lawrence & Julia Hulseapple, Ruth had been an Akron resident since 1955. She was a longtime member of the Summit Wesleyan Church in Akron and a longtime volunteer with the Red Cross.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Dempsey in 2002 and son Brian in 1984; daughter-in-law Mamie Parsons and granddaughters Dawn & Lillian Parsons. She is survived by her sons Aaron of Mansfield and William of Cleveland; granddaughters Debbie (William) Martin & Angela Parsons; great-grandchildren Kaleb, Jackson, Rhea, & Nalya; sister Barbara Maurizzio & brother Daniel (Rose) Hulseapple.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, 6-8 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Homes, KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A funeral service will take place on Friday, 1 pm, at the Summit Wesleyan Church 2303 S. Main St. in Akron. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park in Akron. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross Summit County Chapter 501 West Market St. Akron, OH 44303.
