Ruth Mae (Smith) Little

With heavy hearts and with a deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Ruth Mae Little. On July 30th, 2025, Ruth passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center, two months shy of her 70th birthday.

Ruth is reunited in Heaven with her loving husband of 32 years, Walter (Tom) Thomas Little, Jr. and first-born child, their beautiful daughter, Allison.

Ruth leaves behind her children Thomas Little, Melissa Pace, and Bethany (Bob) Vernatter; 5 grandchildren Samantha, Aubrie, Jackson, Jameson, and Rosaleigh; 1 great-grandson, Kalim; brother-in-law Jim (Karen) Little; niece Kathy Little; siblings Alice (John) Frame and Terry Fisher; her mother, Sandra Morgan; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and dear friends.

Ruth's greatest joy came from spending time with her family. Her gentle spirit and generous heart will be dearly missed but remembered always. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy lives on in the cherished memories and the love she shared so freely. May she rest in peace.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 1 from 5-7PM at the Anthony Funeral Home, 1990 S. Main Street in Akron. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2 at 12Noon at the funeral home. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ruth's memory to The American Cancer Society.
