Ross Daniel Grimes

Ross D. 'Dan' Grimes, 67, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 18, 2024.

Dan was born on February 13, 1957 to Ross E. & Donna M. Grimes and was a 1975 graduate of Coventry High School. He graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Architecture. Dan worked for various firms around the country as an architect for over 40 years. He was a charter member of Johnson Methodist Church in Norton and was proud to have designed the current church. Dan was an avid woodworker who took great pride in his creations. He designed and built pieces of furniture for his children and grandchildren. Dan enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a Cleveland sports fan. Most of all Dan loved spending time with and spoiling his grandchildren.

Dan was preceded in death by his father Ross E. Grimes in 2022, sister Lori Partin, and his beloved Golden Retrievers Hunter & Baron. He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years Diane; his mother Donna Grimes; his children Kristopher (Stephanie), Andrew (Rebecca), James (Alishia), & Jennifer (Cody) Fedler; grandchildren Braden, Ella, Alexander, Landon, Roman, & Mason; brother Curt (Michelle) & brother-in-law Jeff Partin, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family & friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 2nd, 5-8 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home Mcgowan-Reid & Santos Chapel, 247 Stow Ave. in Cuyahoga Falls. Dan will be laid to rest at Grandview Cemetery in Scio, Ohio.
