With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Rosemary Vance, 87 of Green, Ohio.
Born in Akron Ohio on September 13, 1936. She graduated from East High School and spent most of her life as a "Domestic Engineer". Rosemary lived a full life and enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing Euchre with "The Girls", trips to the casino, listening to Polka on Saturday mornings and spending time with her many friends, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. It was frequently said that "grass would never grow under her feet" because she was always on the go. Rosemary enjoyed volunteering at Green Good Neighbors and The first Fish Fries at Queen of Heaven in Green.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Rose Mehok, husband Frank, sisters Shirley Clark and Betty (Jean) Esposito and brother Richard Mehok.
She is survived by her sons Greg (Terre) of Akron and Bruce (Brenda) of Cuyahoga Falls; daughters Cynthia of Akron and Lori (Jeff) Marzick of Brookings, Oregon. She is also survived by her sisters, Donna (Walt) Tomich and Deloris (Rod) Witten of Cedar City, Utah; brothers-in-law George (Marty) Vance and John (Pat) Vance; sisters-in- law Debbie (Bijan) Esfandiary and Victoria Marek. She leaves her grandchildren, Cody Vance of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Matt (Izzie) Guillot of Venice Beach, CA and Melory (Kevin) Knisely of Wadsworth, Ohio as well as her great grandchildren Lillian and Oakley Knisely.
Rosemary had many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom she tried to keep in contact throughout the years whether near or far. Thank you to all the staff at Green View and Grace Hospice for the care you gave during the last 2 years and to all that visited during her final days.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 14, 2024 from 10 to 11am at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1300 Steese Rd. Uniontown, OH 44865 where a A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am. A luncheon will follow the Mass and interment will take place at Rose Hill Burial Park at 2:30 pm.
