Rosella (Davis) Pierce

Rosella Pierce, 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 24, 2021.

Rosella was born in Akron, Ohio on December 1, 1929 to the late Bonnie & Stanley Davis. After graduating from Coventry High School in 1947, she married her high school sweetheart Raymond Pierce. She loved sewing and creating clothes and items for her home. Rosella was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Rosella was preceded in death by her brother Stanley Davis Jr. and son-in-law Robert J. Bernat. She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Ray; daughters Linda Bernat and Kathleen Davis Pierce & her husband Roy J. Schechter; grandsons Andrew W. Bernat & Gordon Pierce Schechter; sister-in-law Naomi Davis; nieces Janice Pavkov & Valerie Loonie; and nephew John Davis.

Also surviving Rosella are longtime friend Loretta Rufener, as well as the Firestone Park Y-Mothers and Julie Rector's Manchester Exercise Group.

Private Services have been held. Interment at Lockwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meilheim United Church, 2260 Myersville Road, Akron, OH 44312.
