Roseanne Andrews, 53, of Akron, Ohio, passed away on October 8, 2023 after a long-fought battle with breast cancer. She was surrounded by those who loved her through her cancer diagnosis all the way up until her last breath.
Roseanne is preceded in death by her grandparents, Jack and Rose Dowling, Michael and Anna Prioletti, Harold and Viola Varndell, followed by other relatives which includes: Uncle David Dowling, Aunt Susie Armstrong, Aunt Paula Dowling, Abuela Estela Alfonso-Isasi, Joanne Montani, and Harold Varndell Jr. (Micky). She will be missed by her three children, Dylan Miller, Frances Andrews, and Estela Andrews, and also by her grand babies, Tristian, Dylan (Del) and Zander Miller. She is also survived by her parents, Arthur and Clare Dowling and siblings Sabrina Sypherd, Jeannette Miller, Damian Dowling, and Larry Dowling. She leaves behind many other loved ones including her nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends, colleagues, and her puppies.
Roseanne graduated from Western Michigan University with her Master's in social work and counseling. She was employed by the State of Michigan as an investigative supervisor for 23 years, where her passion for advocating for children flourished. She also became a chemical dependency counselor to assist those dealing with addictions. She was involved in many local groups such as Rahab, a ministry to reach out to local strip clubs. Rosie was passionate about helping those who were working through sobriety. She was 13 years sober when she passed.
Rosie lived a spirited and zealous life. If she fell in love with a hobby or a craft, she bought every tool needed for it and made them for each of her family members. If any music was playing, she was singing at the top of her lungs and using any, and every opportunity to dance with the ones she loves. Her love for Jesus especially shined through while she sang her favorite worship songs.
Roseanne's viewing will be held at the Anthony Funeral Home, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, Ohio 44301 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2023 followed by a service beginning at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Stewart's Caring Place.
