Rose Mary Torma (nee Lord), 91, passed away on August 27, 2015 at Akron Summa Hospital, with her loving family at her side. She was born in Akron to the late Harry and Helen Lord. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank; siblings, Frank, John, Robert, William, and Helen. Like her late husband, Frank, Rose served her country in the Armed Forces during World War II. Rose loved and was proud of her children, Nancy, Frank, Michael, Daniel, and Dennis; and her grandchildren, Richard, Patrick, Hannah, Dylan, and Cody. She is also survived by brother, James Lord. She enjoyed writing short stories, reading biographies, painting, drawing, working with handicrafts and singing in choirs. Rose was socially progressive, and like her father, Harry, loved a good joke. She was a faithful adherent to the best teaching and principles of her Catholic Faith. She loved God and is now all the closer to Him. Her family and friends will deeply miss her presence in their lives. A Funeral Mass and interment will be scheduled later.
