Rose Ferrise

Rose Ferrise, 95, passed away on March 7, 2026 in Cuyahoga Falls.

Rose was born in Akron on January 24, 1931 to the late Antonio and Celeste Cotturo and was a 1949 graduate of West High School. After high school, she worked at the Ohio Bell Telephone Company. Rose was also a founding member of St. Eugene Catholic Church.

She was happiest spending time with her family, enjoying a home-cooked Italian meal and sharing a sweet treat with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Albert; siblings Phillip, Joseph, Vivian, Anna, Mary, and Jennie; and best friend Norma Chinrock.

She is survived by her children Gary (Gayle) and James (Kimberly) Ferrise; grandchildren, Joseph (Victoria), Adam (Courtney), Jennifer, Benjamin, Rebekah, Sarah, and Daniel Ferrise; great-grandchildren Vincent, Santina, and Gabriella; brother-in-law Sam Ferrise and sisters-in-law Virginia Yocono and Marianne (Tom) Lammers, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Private services have taken place and Rose was laid to rest next to her husband at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron.
