Ronald Johnson

Ronald Johnson, 83, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Akron City Hospital.

He was born in Akron and lived his entire life in the Springfield/Uniontown area. Ron was in the printing industry all of his adult life and started JW Color in 1977 which he was still active in until 2020. Ronald was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a longtime member of Prestwick Country Club. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, boating, skiing and watching the wildlife around his property. Ron enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren including watching his grandsons play soccer and his granddaughter cheer. He also enjoyed whenever they would come to his property to work on things or hang out. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Helen (Margroff) Johnson; brother, Theodore Johnson; and his daughter, Michele Johnson. Ronald is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rose Marie (Kenna) Johnson; sons, Craig (Deborah) and Jason (Evelyn) Johnson; grandchildren, Collin and Kyle Johnson and Lillian Parente.

Per Ron's wishes there will be no funeral or calling hours. A private family gathering will happen at a later time.
