Ronald "Joe" Fahey

September 4, 1948 — November 5, 2022

Born September of 1948 Joe crossed over on November 5, 2022 after surviving GBM brain cancer for 6 years. He was met by his parents, John and Nora Fahey; brothers Mike and Johnny; his son, Joel Matthew Fahey plus many Thomas and Fahey family members. He grew up in Firestone Park, spent many years in New Franklin and resided in Wadsworth the last 17 years.

Joe's life was filled with many adventures: building tires at Firestone, founding and operating LA Cruise Thru, plus many small business ventures too and retired from Firestone Country Club where he actually played the South Course and parred the "Monster" 16th hole. His 4 grandchildren were the light of his life. He loved spending time with them, watching them play all of their sports through the years and sharing his wit and wisdom. He truly enjoyed playing golf with his friends and brothers as much as possible.

Joe is survived by his wife, Irene (Olinik) Fahey, son, Justin (Stephanie) Fahey, daughter, Jill Fahey Swain, grandchildren, Molly (Micah) Marra of Tallmadge, Annie (Joe) Robinson of Colorado Springs, David Fahey of Boston and Jacob Fahey; sister, Sue (Kenny) Samuels; brother, Pat (Lisa) Fahey and many wonderful nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces too. He cherished his many family members and friends.

The family thanks all the special friends - Bruce and Neil Page, John Philips - who played golf with him, when he could, and included him in the casino and race track adventures over the past few years.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 9 from 4-7PM at the Anthony Funeral homes, 1990 S Main St in Akron, were a memorial service will be celebrated at 6PM.
