Ronald Joseph Gussey

Ronald J.Gussey, 71, passed away surrounded by his family on September 4, 2017. Born in Akron on Dec 20, 1945, Ron was a graduate of North High School. He worked for many years in the plastics industry. He was a parishioner of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Akron. Ronnie was an avid Cleveland sports and Ohio State fan. He also enjoyed camping with his family. Ron was preceded in death by his parents Alvin & Gertrude Gussey; daughter Melissa and granddaughter Vanessa; brother John. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Netha; son Brian (Daisy) Gussey; grandchildren Brandon, Megan, & Elisabeth Gussey & Mackenzie Brunswick; brother Joe (Cheryl) Gussey and sister Mary Ann (Don) Dollison, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. The family will receive friends on Thursday, 5-8 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, 11:00 am, at St. Matthew Catholic Church 2603 Benton Ave. in Akron. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron.
