Roger L. Karder, 78, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2023 at his home.
Roger was born in Akron to the late Louis and Gizella Karder and was a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Garfield High School and worked as a skilled prototype machinist and tool and die maker. Roger spent his time building car engines, drag racing, boating, snowmobiling, gardening and having fun with his grandkids. He also enjoyed bicycling with his wife and cooking for his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years Brenda, who he called his little chickadee; daughters Nancy (Mike) Kranek and Lisa (Jay) Perez; stepson Rob Rawlings; and grandchildren Allison, Michael, Rafael, Armen, Marcus, Carmel, Kylie and Reice.
Thank you to Traditions Hospice for their compassionate care of Roger.
The family will receive friends from Noon to 2PM on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Road in Green (corner of Massillon and Steese Road, entrance off of Steese)
