Robin J. Shively

Robin Jo Shively of Cuyahoga Falls passed away on June 9 at the age of 70.

Born in Akron to Harold and Donna Ratchford, Robin graduated in 1974 from Cuyahoga Falls High School, where she was a member of the marching band. She received a bachelor of science degree from Alderson Broaddus University in Philosophy and Religious Studies in 1979.

She married Mark Shively in 1986, and they had two children. She was employed in a children's home and then as a librarian. Before returning to the Akron area later in life, she made her home with her husband and children in Columbus, where she was a member of Karl Road Baptist Church. As a member of the church, she sang in the choir and was a member of the Pinpricks quilting group. She was also an avid reader.

Preceded in death by her husband, she is survived by her daughter Jeannette (Dan) Middleton of Kansas City, Missouri; her son Alan (Alyssa) Shively of Columbus; two grandchildren; and her brothers Gary (Judy) Ratchford and Scott Ratchford.

Funeral service will take place Monday, June 15 at 12:00Noon at Anthony Funeral Home - Falls Chapel, 247 Stow Avenue in Cuyahoga Falls. Calling hours will be held from 11:00AM until the time of service. Interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. If desired, flowers may be sent to the funeral home.
