Robert Louis Purtan

Robert L. Purtan, 75, passed away unexpectedly on June 14, 2017.  He was a loving and caring man who was dedicated to his family; He enjoyed spending time with family and riding his bike.  He was a Vietnam Veteran who served in the U. S. Army and a member of St. John the Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Evelyn M. Purtan; daughter, Tamra Britton (Jerry); son, Scott Purtan; son, Jeffrey Purtan (Amy);  grandchildren, Samantha Purtan (Jeff Sherman), Desirae Ashline (Pete), Buddy Searles (Joyce), Christopher Purtan and Ashley Purtan; and great-grandchildren, Sophia Searles and Skylar Searles. The family will receive friends  SATURDAY, June 17, 2017 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, OH 44301. Mass of Christian Burial will be held MONDAY, June 19, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. (Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, Akron)
