Robert Eli Mangano, Bob the Dancing Usher, 71 of Akron, Ohio passed away peacefully at his home on the morning of Friday, April 10th, 2020. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 24th, 1948 and had been a resident of Akron for over 40 years.

Bob graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1966. Following his graduation, he attended Bowling Green University and graduated from Cleveland State University with a degree in Hotel Management which was his lifelong career.

Bob was an extremely avid sports fan. He shared a love of baseball with his twin brother Bill and it was common place to see them battling as a pitcher/catcher duo on the field.
He was the ultimate die-hard Cleveland sports fan and in his later years became well known as Bob the Dancing Usher, dancing the Cavs to their first NBA Championship and earning a championship ring in the process.

Bob is survived by "My Three Sons" as he always referred to them: Eli (Jenna) of Austintown, OH, Damon (Annie) of Sheffield, OH, and Bryan (Anna) of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; Grandchildren Ethan, Anthony, Reagyn, Cole, and Anthony Joseph (AJ); siblings Mary Susan Vanderbach (Harry), Luisa Bremer (Karl), and William (Beverly); nieces and nephews Harry, Kristen, Bill, and Kate; girlfriend Jill Nussbaum; dog Zippy; and countless friends, fans, and fellow sports enthusiasts. If you knew Bob you were close.
Bob was preceded in death by his father William and matriarch of the family Albina; as well as his beloved aunts and uncles.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 18 from 5-8PM at the Anthony Funeral Homes, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S Main St in Akron. Masks and social distancing required.
