Robert Kaderle of Montville, Ohio passed away on May 16, 2026 at the age of 73. He was born in Linz, Austria on May 16, 1953, the youngest and only son of five children. Together with his family he immigrated to the United States in 1956 and made a home in Akron, Ohio. Robert attended Zion Lutheran Grade School and was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church. He graduated from Garfield High School in 1971.

Robert was the first member of his family to earn a college degree, graduating from The University of Akron with a degree in accounting. Robert began his career at the University of Akron and then accepted a job at Northeast Ohio Universities College of Medicine (NEOUCOM) earning several promotions and retiring after 28 years of service. He later served in various accounting roles at Case Western Reserve University College of Medicine and Lake Erie College.

Robert enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, gardening, and was active with Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts when his sons were younger. He used his financial acumen to help many family members, friends, and fellow church members with finance and tax services and assistance. In addition, Robert volunteered his time at Zion Lutheran Church serving as the church accountant and treasurer for nearly 27 years. Robert was always knowledgeable, reliable, and dependable, showing up for all important family functions to acknowledge and celebrate the major life events and accomplishments of his family members.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Jakob Kaderle in 1987, and Maria Kaderle in 2020; sister Helene Swank in 2024 and brother-in-law Donald Swank in 2025. He is survived by his children Robert J. Kaderle of East Tawas, MI and Philip A Kaderle of Wickliffe, OH; siblings Elsie (Larry) Ager of Cape Coral, FL; Christine George of New Franklin; and Erika Kaderle of Stow; grandchildren Jakob E. Kaderle and Greyson R. Kaderle of East Tawas, MI; many nieces, nephews, and extended family in the United States, Austria, and Germany. Robert was in and out of hospitals for various illnesses in the last year of his life. A special thank you to the doctors, medical support staff, and caregivers at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus and University Hospital Chardon Campus for their compassion and care in his final year.
