Robert Edward Hensley

Robert E. Hensley, 78, went home to be with the Lord on JUly 18, 2016.
Born in Atwater on April 16, 1938 to the late Fred & Pearl Mae Hensley, Bob had been a Falls resident since 1968. He retired in 1986 after 30 years from the Lawson Milk Co. Bob served his country as a member of the Ohio National Guard. Bob was a diehard Cleveland sports fan.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife Joyce in 2002, as well as his brother George and sister Lena. He is survived by his children Clyde (Jenn) Hensley & Lisa (Greg Poppenhouse) Hensley; grandson Cory Hensley; brother Fred (Dolly) Hensley of TX and sister-in-law Beverly Greathouse. Bob also leaves behind his beloved companion, his dog, Nikki.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, 5-7 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home MCGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL 247 Stow Ave. (at 3rd. St., one block north of Portage Trail in) Cuyahoga Falls. A funeral service will be officiated by Rev. Bob McQuillen on Friday, 10:00 am, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Deerfield Cemetery in Deerfield Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Summa Palliative Care Unit at City Hospital c/o Summa Hospice 1077 Gorge Blvd, Akron, OH 44310.
