Robert E. Ebner

Robert E. Ebner, 91, died October 6, 2024 at home after a short illness.

He was born in Cuyahoga Falls and later moved to Akron, where he spent most of his life. He was employed by University of Akron, retiring in 1996. He was a member of St Paul Parish. He spoke fondly of his eight years of service in the Air Force. He enjoyed fishing, Euchre Club, breakfast with his buddies and special friends Dave and Joanne.

Mr. Ebner was preceded in death by his loving wife Rita of 40 years, his son Andrew John in 1968, brother Jack (Rose) Ebner, Peg (Bob) Huston and Mary (Warren) Gregory. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11AM on Monday, October 14 at St. Paul Parish, 1580 Brown Street, Akron where friends and family will be received one hour prior. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations may be made to Akron Children's Hospital via https://www.akronchildrens.org/ .
