Robert Addison Hamilton, 75, of Tallmadge passed away on May 25, 2023. Born in Akron to the late Frank and Kate Hamilton, Robert attended Stow City Schools. After moving to Virginia, he graduated from Montevideo High School in McGaheysville, VA. Since the age of 13, he had a keen interest in automotive restoration - especially with '57 Chevy's and Corvettes. His unique talent was recognized by an early employer, Mr. Bowman of Bowman Chevrolet in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Mr. Bowman even sponsored his advanced training in auto restoration. Returning to this area, Robert and his father, Frank opened their own shop in Tallmadge. Hamilton Auto Restoration achieved a reputation for quality workmanship not just locally but across the country.

His survivors include son, Robert Hamilton, Jr.; grandson, Robert Hamilton III; sisters, Connie Reagan and her children; Gail (Michael) Kane and their children.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley Stow Chapel (3333 Kent Rd. at Rt. 91) where funeral services will take place on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Silver Springs Cemetery.
