Rita F. (Rowles) Cianciola

Rita F. Cianciola, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister passed away on July 5, 2024. She was born in Akron, Ohio, on August 26, 1939, to the late Ray and Thelma Rowles. She graduated from Garfield High School and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and later the Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church. After raising her children, she embarked on her second career at Data Directions Inc. She valued her position as the facility manager. Rita was an avid tennis player until later in her life. She made many lifelong friends through tennis. Rita was fiercely proud of her family and loved all family holidays and events. She especially loved being involved with her children + grandchildren's activities. Rita was preceded in death by her parents, sister Beverly, and brother Mike. She is survived by her husband of 66 years Don, and her three children Mike (Becky) Cianciola, Karyn (Robert) Simmons, and Jim (Kelly) Cianciola. Grandchildren Christina, Joe, Melissa, Michelle, Jennifer, Katie, Jimmy, Vincent, and Nicholas, 7 great-grandchildren, sister Barbara, and brother and sister-in-law Frank and Penny Cianciola. Calling hours will be Thursday, July 11, 2024, from 10-12 at the Anthony Funeral Home. Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301. Mass will be held immediately following at St. Paul Catholic Church. 1580 Brown Street, Akron, Ohio 44301 at noon followed by a graveside at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron.
