Rick Eugene Glass

Rick Glass, 76, passed away surrounded by family on March 8, 2024.
Rick was born in Akron on October 28, 1947 to Paul & Betty Glass and was a 1966 graduate of Akron South High School. He served his country as a member of the US Army during the Vietnam War. Rick worked as a truck driver for both Preston & Yellow Trucking for over 40 years and was also a volunteer firefighter for the City of Green. Rick was a member of Teamsters Local 42. He was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Rick was a youth baseball and basketball coach and loved to watch his grandchildren play sports (Go Bulldogs!). Most of all, Rick was a loving husband, father, and grandfather to his family.
In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his brother Duane. he is survived by his beloved wife of over 55 years, Linda; his children Richard (Michele), Brian (Amy), & Michelle Glass; grandchildren Noah (Ailis), Lauren, Kelsie, Grace, & Ally Glass; sister Linda (Tim) Smith; sister-in-law Susan Glass, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rick also will have his first great-grandchild coming in August.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 16 at 10:00 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 pm, at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1800 Steese Rd. in Green.
