Richard R. Robert II passed away peacefully on 8th March at the age of 78. Although born in South Carolina and living for short periods of time in Atlanta and Pittsburgh, most of his life was spent in Stow and then Akron. As a member of Holy Family Parish he attended the grade school, served as an altar boy and then later earned the Boy Scout Eagle award. A graduate of Akron's Hoban High School and then St. Bernard College in Alabama, Rick graduated with a degree in Philosophy. Throughout his varied career, he worked for the University of Akron and continued to enjoy reading, writing, and walking.

The son of Richard and Dorothy Robert now passed, he leaves daughter Annamarie Robinson (Ron), son Rich Robert, and siblings Kathy Petrenko (Leo) Mary Robert-Dickerson (John), Larry Robert (Suzanne) and Julie Burns (Robert) as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours will be at Dunn-Quigley Stow Chapel, on Wed. 13th March 5-7 PM; Funeral Services at North Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel on 14th March at 12:00 Noon.

The family would like to thank the people of Brookdale Bath, particularly Chandra and Lori, the Cleveland Clinic medical specialists and hospice for their care and support of Richard.
