Richard T. "Mike" Memmer, 89, passed away at his home on March 30, after a long illness. Born in Akron, the son of the late William and Jane Memmer he graduated from St. Martha's Grade School and Hower Trade School. A skilled craftsman, Mike was a self employed plumbing and carpentry contractor before working with Wilson Plumbing. He was a member of St. Francis DeSales Parish. His survivors include wife of 61 years, Irene; daughter, Margaret (Kevin) McGowan; son, Joseph; grandchildren, Melissa (Jim) Stilton, Christina (Anthony) Hulb, Lisa, Jacquelyn, and Joseph Memmer. Calling hours will be on Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home (811 Grant St.). Mass of Christian Burial will be MONDAY at St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m. followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
