Richard A. McIntyre II, 71, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 21, 2026, after a long illness. He was surrounded with love having his daughter Savannah, son Ricky , and best friend Barb by his side.
Rick was born on October 28, 1954 to the late Richard and Margaret McIntyre and was a lifelong area resident. He went to St. Paul Grade School, and attended St. Vincent High School for three years. Rick graduated from Coventry High School in 1973. Rick was a skilled carpenter, and worked for many different builders over the years. He culminated his career working for Parrish/McIntyre Tire as a warehouse manager. Rick was a devoted father to his sons and daughter, and a wonderful Pawpaw to his five grandkids. A devoted Catholic, he was member of Queen of Heaven Parish. Rick lived for his daughter Savannah, and was overjoyed to see her graduate from High School. He will be remembered for his love of music, nature, and his heart of gold.
In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by sisters Christine Slaughter and Barbara Leib-Brown. He is survived by his daughter Savannah McIntyre; sons Ricky McIntyre and Michael Conley; siblings Karenina (Tony) Manocchio, Michael (Cheryl) McIntyre, Robert McIntyre, James McIntyre, John (Debbie) McIntyre; five grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews; and many dear friends.
Thank you to Summa Hospice for their compassionate care of Rick in his final days. Also, to his best friend Barb Ziga for her tireless support. And to Janet and Brandi Stefan for their love and care.
