Richard Maddox, 83, beloved Father, Spouse, and Son, was called to his eternal resting place on November 3, 2025. He entered this world on May 20, 1942 in Norton, OH, born to Harry and Catharine Maddox of Norton Ohio.

Richard is survived by his daughter Becky Kouns (Shane) and two grand children Caleb Kouns and Sarah Kouns.

He was preceded in death by wife, Catherine, mother, Catherine Patko Maddox and father, Harry Maddox; sisters, Martha Ingersoll, Dorothy Arbogast, Genevieve Gipson, Mary Patko, and Katherine Kasper; brothers, James Maddox, Harry Maddox, Jr., Charles Maddox; and niece, Deborah Ingersol.

Richard worked at Cargil for most of his career. He loved to square dance, golf and drive his mustang.

A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held on November 21st from 5-7 pm at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home (811 Grant St., Akron,44311).
