Richard Grigsby

Richard (Dick) E. Grigsby, 83, passed away on January 22, 2026.

Richard was born in Akron on November 18, 1942 and graduated from Manchester High School in 1960. Richard was a draftsman by trade. Richard was also a great handyman. He could perform plumbing, electrical work, carpenter work, landscaping, mechanical work, etc.. He could do it all. Whenever a family member would have a problem, they would call upon Richard. He was always willing to help. Richard also enjoyed tinkering with cars, card games, shuffle board, bowling, hiking, biking, golfing and family outings. Richard and his longtime companion, Carol Coomer, enjoyed the summers in Ohio and the winters in Punta Gorda, Florida.

Richard is survived by Carol Coomer; sister Carolyn S. Dyarmett; brothers Donald G. (Margaret) Grigsby and Kenneth E. (Saundra) Grigsby, all of the Akron area; and many nieces and nephews.

Per Richard's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service.
