Richard L. Fleming

Richard L. Fleming, 94, passed away surrounded by family on Monday, October 7, 2024.
Dick was born in Akron to the late Herbert and Angela Fleming. He was a veteran of the US Army. Dick retired from Goodyear after 47 years of service. He was a devout member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish and prayed the rosary every day. Dick enjoyed trains, coin collecting, gardening and reading. He completed the Fall Hiking Spree every year with his wife.
In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his wife Sue Ann; son Steven and granddaughter Monica; and brothers Herbert Jr, Leo, Gerald, Donald, and Steve. He is survived by daughters Sandy (Tom) Michaels, Laura (Robert) Harper, Carol (Brian) Cain, & Deborah (David) Wuest; grandchildren Andrew Shine, Nicole & Ryan Michaels, Kerrigan (Serafina), Aaron, & Colleen Cain, Isabella & Matthew Wuest; great-grandson Luca & Alana Cain; sister Rosemary (John) Appeldorn; and many nieces and nephews.
Thank you to the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Hospice for their compassionate care of Dick.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 19 at 10AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Trail Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service beginning at 9:00AM.
